Shia LaBeouf’s Image Stolen by Brand O Toys
So, this is not a review, but a rant.
I am kind of upset by this thing my friend showed me. I swear, I hope Shia LaBeouf has a good lawyer and that that lawyer can sue these thiefs for millions!
When I wrote a review of Indiana Jones and the Temple of the Crystal Skull, I got some angry comments directed toward Shia, people saying he wasn’t that integral to the story etc. Um, hello, if Shia was such a non-entity, then why are people stealing his image?!
Case in point: Shia’s Mutt Williams, a tough motorcycle rider, is such a memorable image that some company who calls themselves Brand O Action Figures (almost as generic as Brand X or Acme Toys) totally, completely and unethically stole Shia’s look and made a doll that is supposed to be from the 1950’s, rides a motorcycle and is tough. Oh, you mean like Mutt Williams?! If anyone is considering buying this…DON’T! Get the real thing instead.
Sorry for the rant. I just hate people that take advantage of others.

That’s a Brando Action Figure, not Brand O. It’s based on Marlon Brando’s role on the movie The Wild One. Shia’s character in the opening scenes of the latest Indiana Jones movie is based on Brando’s iconic character.
